Elton John - I'm still standing
George Ezra - Shotgun
Why should you join us?
Singing is good for you! It's been proven to help reduce stress, anxiety and depression as well as increase your endorphin (happy hormone) levels! Check out this article to find out more: click here.
Our choir are a lovely and very friendly bunch who work really hard at being super welcoming! You're bound to make some new friends and have a fantastic time singing!
How does a typical week run?
Each week the choir either learns a new song, or carries on learning one from the previous week. The choir is currently split into three sections, most easily described as high, middle and low. So if you're not sure whether you're a Soprano or an Alto or what they heck that even means, then think about if you prefer to sing high, low or in the middle somewhere. Simple! (And if you're still not sure then Hannah will get you sorted!)
Hannah teaches each section their part in the bit of the song they're learning, and then the whole choir comes together to test it out! It's such a fantastic experience!
You really don't have to be an amazing singer to join in! So why not come along and see what you think?
We love to raise money for charities!
Lucy's Pop Choir has done all sorts over the years to help raise money for both local and national charities and we can't get enough of it! We've worked with Heart Research UK, Macmillan and Hope for Justice to name a few! We also support Hope for Justice on a monthly basis, making us Hope for Justice Guardians!
If you work with a charity or know about a charitable event coming up then please do let us know! We'll do our best to get involved.

Karen Hickman, York:
"I’d been wanting to join a choir for ages but was never brave enough to do so, and didn’t even know if I could sing properly. So I was both pleased and petrified when my husband bought me a subscription to Lucy's Pop Choir for Christmas. I was quite nervous the first time I went, I didn’t know anybody and I didn’t join with a friend so I was on my own…but not for long! The group were very welcoming and I very quickly made a few new friends, then I made a few more, and a few more.
I can honestly say joining this choir has given me so much. I’m making time for myself, rediscovering parts of my personality I had forgotten about, and I’m having so much fun! I might not be a great singer, but I can sing, and I love singing. Singing with this group continues to inspire me and just makes me happy."
